Save the EPA’s Water-Efficiency Program: WaterSense

The WaterSense program, successfully launched by the EPA in 2006, has saved more than 3 trillion gallons of water in America since its inception. The EPA has also documented a savings of more than $84.2 billion in water and energy bills and calculated a savings of 462.5 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. It’s successful programs like WaterSense that are leading the way in water sustainability nationwide, preserving the resources we have today and impacting the environment for generations to come.

How Does the WaterSense Program Work?

WaterSense is a voluntary public-private program with 2,000+ industry partners, including Pioneer Industries. The WaterSense program encourages companies to offer products that conserve water and encourages consumers to shop smart, choosing from products that carry the WaterSense label. There are currently over 25,000 certified products which include showerheads, toilets, faucets, and spray accessories.

What makes a product WaterSense Certified?

In order to carry the WaterSense label, a product must:

  • Be 20% more efficient than standard products
  • Provide measurable results
  • Receive independent, 3rd party testing certification

Pioneer Industries is proud to offer a full line of WaterSense certified products. Customers can enjoy the benefits of a well-designed faucet that is beautiful in your home and have peace of mind, knowing their water-saving fixture is good for the environment too. When installing or replacing fixtures and appliances in your home, buy with confidence when you choose a WaterSense-labeled product.

Help Save WaterSense in 2020

Government proposed budget cuts for the fiscal year 2020 is projected to eliminate the WaterSense program. Industry representatives like PMI (Plumbing Manufacturers International) are urging Congress to continue the program. Help us keep this program in place by contacting your elected Congressional Representatives and Senators and ask them to join the campaign to keep this valuable program in place.
